Coming Home!

My devotions this morning were very fittingly from 2 Corinthians 1:11 which Paul writes: "You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many."

I had to re-read that about 10 times.

Paul asks the Corinthian believers to pray for him because he was in need. The Corinthian believers responded by praying to God. God answered their prayer by pouring out His gracious blessings on the apostle Paul. As many of the Corinthian believers who were praying for Paul now hear that God has met that need, they in response give God thanks for blessing Paul.

Friends and family, Denae and I had a need that we brought before you. Some of you knew this need roughly 2 1/2 years ago, some of you heard of this need just this past week. Either way, whenever you heard of it, we asked you to be in prayer for us. We appealed to you for prayer because we know that what we were doing - this entire adoption process - could only be done by God's help.

At the beginning of our adoption process, we had a t-shirt fundraiser that had a map of India with the verse from Psalm 96:3 which says: "Declare His [God's] glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all peoples!" That was the goal of our adoption process--to declare God's glory among the nations.

And now friends and family, would you give God glory with us by thanking Him for the way He has answered our prayers all throughout this process and especially the last two weeks? We asked you to pray and your response to that request was absolutely overwhelming. It is humbling to know that prayers from all over were being offered up to God on our behalf. God poured out His blessings on our adoption process and our trip in more ways than we could ever explain. And now, we want to give Him thanks and praise His name! We pray that our family’s testimony would be one that gives Him all the glory for what He has done!

In a few hours, we will be leaving our hotel in Delhi for the airport. We fly out in the early morning to Newark, NJ. Then we say goodbye to our travel companions, the Robinsons, and we head to Detroit, then on to Grand Rapids. We are beyond excited to see our boys once again, as well as our family and friends!

Denae and I are in awe of your support over the past two weeks. Specifically, the prayers that you offered up to God on our behalf--thank you. Thank you for the words of encouragement as well! We praise God for having everything go so smoothly! God is SO good!

Our adoption journey has not ended, it has just begun. We are so grateful for this wonderful opportunity that God has given to us to raise Keerti to know Him, love Him and serve Him. What an incredible gift and and privilege that is for us to steward. We are so grateful to know that we will have an amazing group of family and friends standing alongside us and cheering us on as we raise our now 3 children.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

We are scheduled to land in Grand Rapids at 5:08 PM on Friday night! If you would like to celebrate with us, we would love to see you there!

Got this document from the US Embassy!

Ready to go home!
