A Completed Puzzle and a Big Update!

Image
So much has happened with our adoption process in the last 2 months or so and we are eager to give an update!   First of all, we are so thrilled to share that we completed our puzzle fundraiser!!! This means that we were able to raise all our funds for the home study portion of the process along with our next few fees! We were blown away by the generosity of our friends and family – both in giving financially and in the way so many of you stepped forward and promised to pray for this process and the little one that will be joining our family. What a precious gift! We are so humbled by the outpouring of support and truly cannot say thank you enough. Once again, we have seen God’s provision as we have stepped out in faith and we’ve been reminded that He goes before us in this process and is leading the way.   (Our completed puzzle! Ready to be framed and hung in our home! The back is filled with names and reminders of God's provision through so many friends and family and even co

Adoption #2 and a Fundraiser Announcement!

It’s been close to 2 years since we traveled home from India with Keerti and in the last 2 years the Lord has given us a desire to adopt once again! We are SO EXCITED to share that we are in the early stages of our second adoption process from INDIA with Lifeline Children’s Services! We have a long process ahead but we wanted to share so that our community of friends and family could be praying along with us. During Keerti’s adoption process we saw God’s faithfulness in so many tangible ways through the prayers of His people and we trust that we will see His faithfulness and provision once again during this process. We wanted to take a blog post to answer some questions we have already received as well as announce a fundraiser that we are launching to help us cover some of the upfront adoption fees before we can begin applying for grants!   1.        What led you to adopt again from India? Since our dating years we knew we wanted to grow our family both biologically and through ado

Coming Home!

My devotions this morning were very fittingly from 2 Corinthians 1:11 which Paul writes: "You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many." I had to re-read that about 10 times.  Paul asks the Corinthian believers to pray for him because he was in need. The Corinthian believers responded by praying to God. God answered their prayer by pouring out His gracious blessings on the apostle Paul. As many of the Corinthian believers who were praying for Paul now hear that God has met that need, they in response give God thanks for blessing Paul.  Friends and family, Denae and I had a need that we brought before you. Some of you knew this need roughly 2 1/2 years ago, some of you heard of this need just this past week. Either way, whenever you heard of it, we asked you to be in prayer for us. We appealed to you for prayer because we know that what we were doing - this entire adoption process - could o

Making Strides

We made it to Delhi late on Friday evening! Keerti did great on the flights! On Saturday, we had to have a medical appointment for Keerti in order for her to be able to get her Visa back to USA. We had to get her blood drawn, which was not fun 😞  She weighed 9 kilograms or 19.8 lbs! She was 79 cm or 31.1 inches tall!  After her medical appointment, we went to apply for our exit permits. We had all the proper paperwork to do so and now we are just waiting on the results!  Sunday was a much needed day of rest. It actually was the first day in India that we had NOTHING to do and we were so excited for that! We explored different areas of our hotel for a while and then we just hung out in our hotel room.  The view from our hotel room...India is BEAUTIFUL! On Monday, again, we had nothing to do, which was so wonderful! As we slowed down and got to focus on bonding with Keerti in the hotel room we really got to see her start to blossom and show her personality. That has been so much fun to

An Unexpected Shower Of Blessing

Due to the business of the past two days, this is the first time we have had the opportunity to write about the events that have happened! On Wednesday, we woke up in Bangalore, packed our bags at our hotel and then ate breakfast . We hopped in a taxi to the airport, about an hour away, to catch our flight to Belagavi, our daughter's hometown. We would be arriving in Belagavi around 3:00 PM, so we wondered if there was any possibility of seeing Keerti that evening. However, we had previously decided it would be best to wait until Thursday, when there was a special placement ceremony scheduled. Our drive to Bangalore airport was beautiful! When we first had arrived in Bangalore, it was night time, so we couldn't see anything! But now, it was wonderful to see more of that portion of India that we were in!  Our flight to Belagavi was on time and relatively uneventful. It was a tiny airplane--which for those of you who know me--Brady--I don't do well flying, so I was quite nerv
